Speaking as the good friend, may I just say that (a) Karen is awesome because (b) she actually had to cut this cake for us, as I was (c) so overwhelmed by its appearance that I wasn't going to serve it to our guests at first. It was too incredibly perfect! So yummy, though, and in the end everyone was thankful she brought us a knife.
